Thank you for writing about this. I have a dear friend who has autism who is so, so frightened of riding the subway because of the murder of Jordan Neely. My friend is a very calm and collected individual but knows that with the right combination of noise and chaos and a hectic day, he can become disoriented, and to think that in such a scenario he may become a victim of this acquitted murderer, is extremely distressing to him. That he has to feel this way, is utterly enraging, frustrating, and soul-sucking for me. For many of us, this type of injustice is something we have to take on and promise to be better fellow humans, but for some of us, this is all to real.
Difficult subjects are always welcome.
